Art! Work! Future!
A Postcard Fundraiser for Cambridge Artworks and Artspace
5 Greens Road, Cambridge, CB4 3EF
Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th December, 11am to 5pm
We're inviting you, dear fellow artists, writers and creative workers to submit a postcard-sized artwork (A6, 14.8 x 10.5 cm, in any media) to help raise funds to preserve the tireless work of Cambridge Artworks in providing affordable studio/cultural space for artists in Cambridge City Centre.
Artworks is an old building that requires ever more frequent repairs. We're indesperate need of funds to be able to continue to provide affordable studio and gallery space and to assist with our public-facing and community work.
We need you! We need you in A6 form!
All submitted artwork will be exhibited as part of our Art! Work! Future! exhibition on display in Artspace Gallery throughout our Winter Open Studios weekend. It will include works by Artworks studio artists, friends and supporters including some highly regarded and well-known artists.
All postcards will be displayed anonymously. Each postcard will then be sold as part of a fundraising auction. There'll be an opportunity to bid on the postcards during Artworks Winter Open Studios weekend:
Saturday 5th 11am to 5pm and Sunday 6th December 11am to 4pm,
and a 'live' auction of the postcard artworks on Sunday at 4pm.
Please contact Artworks artworks@cambridgeartworks.com and put Postcard in the subject title of the email, for more information and to arrange the delivery of your postcard to Artworks, before December 1st. We really appreciate your support - thank you!
