Caroline Wendling

Caroline Wendling is interested by places and spaces. A variety of materials are worked with in order to produce two and three dimensional pieces. Drawing is a significant part of her expression; in order to explore possibilities but also as basis for recording forms that develop into large scale drawings.

Surfaces are manipulated to create a sense of instability. The surface sensitivity of the plaster and the materials used reflects the fragility of our lives. Her mental landscapes translate the state of impermanence that our transient society habits.
