Niina explores the graphic qualities of hand drawn line and pattern combined with tactile ceramic forms. The human nature and the environment (natural and man made) provide inspiration; how we interfere, adapt, take space and make space. We create problems and solve them. There is a strong element of play and involvement in her work; the viewer is invited to arrange and rearrange the multiples of cubes, creating new compositions, patterns and directions of line.
