We will study the way artists from the past have painted the Elements, either literally or symbolically and this will lead us into making our own paintings and drawings. Printmaking is a lot of fun. My workshop will explore the exciting and spontaneous possibilities of monoprinting. Used by Picasso, Degas and Rembrandt monoprints are one off images, which can are transferred from a flat surface onto the paper by hand – so you can try this at home! Bring along photocopies of images you like, sketches, photographs, ideas, enthusiasm and an open mind. Also an apron and old cloths! Cost: £50 per day inclusive of materials
