Drawing Workshops
The secret of true creativity is inner attention, without desire or expectation. It requires us to go into the silence and darkness within, and draw out what we find there. The mind, with its all too rigid barriers and opinions, often makes it impossible to reach this still, silent place within, leaving us with a distant memory and a longing to regain a paradise once known.
The act of drawing can break through these barriers and facilitate access to the inner world - the domain of the creative where spontaneity and the true mood of the moment may be found. Here we find the art forms are vital and alive with a true expression of inner feeling.
These Workshops are couched in the methods initiated and developed by Cecil Collins—visionary painter, poet, philosopher and inspired teacher , and are run by Lynette Howells-Moore , who has been working with this very particular approach to teaching Drawing for over twenty five years |

Open Studios and Postcard Exhibition: First two weekends in July
The artists at Cambridge Artworks are inviting the public to join them for the first two weekends in July for their exciting postcard exhibition featuring over 40 pieces of original artwork. This is the second year that Artworks have has an exhibition of postcards – last years' being so successful it promises to be an annual event. Each 'postcard” is a small unique artwork in its own right, created by one of the resident artists or by a guest artist. They are all of a small postcard size, but the artists' creativity has resulted in a wide variety of art – stretching the definition of 'postcard'. The postcards are all for sale by silent auction so this is a great opportunity to buy a unique work of art at a bargain price.
Bids start at £10
Final bids to be made in person on Sunday 10 July |
